Biden phoned Netanyahu today to assert his opposition to the invasion of Rafah. Does he really think we're fools?
There are two damning possibilities here:
1) Biden is so disastrously incompetent as President that he’s squandered all his leverage by funneling billions to Israel before he demanded anything in return. He's pilfered from American coffers (illegally?!)—Bypassing congress—to arm Israel and then again with the help of congress. Now, bereft of any real bargaining power, his feeble protests are casually dismissed by Netanyahu and his cadre of war criminals.
2) Biden actually sanctioned these atrocities, cunningly playing the concerned leader while covertly agreeing. He allows Netanyahu to don the villain’s mask, pretending to oppose the conflict verbally while practically facilitating it with his policies.
In both scenarios, Biden has shown himself to be either utterly unreliable at best, a powerless figurehead disregarded by Israel as they continue to extract whatever they want from the U.S., or he’s a co-conspirator in this slaughter. Take your pick.
I'm thoroughly appalled by his call earlier. It is such a joke to release to the press his chastisement of Israel while funding their genocide.
Biden is a disgrace to the American people, and the imminent deaths of thousands in the coming days will stain his hands just as much as they do Netanyahu’s.
